How to find a leak in a Stryker Inflatable Boat?

It is important to regularly check for leaks in your inflatable boat. Start by inflating the boat to its maximum capacity, and thoroughly check for signs of wear and tear. Thereafter, spray an equal mix of a mild PH liquid soap and warm water along the tubes.

Leaks are revealed when bubbles form. Use a marker to identify any leaks, and rinse the soap off the boat once you’re done, and allow the boat to dry completely. Small nicks can be fixed with silicone.

What to do if water is leaking into a Stryker inflatable boat through the drain plug?

There are several reasons why water would seep into your boat. The fix is usually quick and easy.

Start by checking that the drain plug is fully inserted. Inspect for any debris or dirt in the drain plug and remove it. If there isn’t enough sealant under the drain plug, or if it is loose, you will need to either apply silicone sealant or tighten the screws. Be careful not to crack the plastic.

Mix 10 parts Stabond adhesive with 1 part accelerator in a container, and apply a thin layer to both surfaces that need to be joined.

Wait until it’s completely dry (about 30 mins) before applying a second coat. Let it dry for about 5 to 10 minutes before pressing the two pieces together, and using a roller, roll from the inside out. Wipe off all excess glue and leave to cure for 24 hours.
